Daniel Pfalzer commits

Daniel Pfalzer commits to West Virginia University.

The Ogden Mustangs see another veteran player moving on to college! Dan Pfalzer, two-year Mustangs assistant captain and power forward, will continue his career at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. Pfalzer was a large part of the strong team culture over the last 2 seasons and looks to take his leadership into the college hockey ranks.

“I’ve got a few buddies that go there and play on the West Virginia team that I played with in high school”, Pfalzer continues, “they rave about how awesome it is down there and it fit my academic criteria.”

Dan posted 11 goals and 30 assists in his 79 regular season contests in the USPHL. He was a presence in front of the net on the power play and took pride in his penalty killing abilities. Coach Orlando leaned on him heavily to captain the PK.

Next semester, Pfalzer will report to West Virginia’s home rink to play for coach, Shane Buckley.

“Playing in Ogden was an awesome experience from the locker room, to the facilities and the people behind the team and the fans…the fans are just outstanding! This is a great spot for development and college advancement” Daniel says.

Coach Orlando says proudly, “I am confident that Dan will go into that team and make an impact right away. He is such a character human being and very likable guy. His leadership and discipline is a great example of how we want our Mustangs players to structure themselves. I am excited to watch his hockey continue over the next 4 years and see him succeed with his academics.”

This Fall, Pfalzer begins his journey toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Good luck, Dan!
