The Ogden Mustangs have added forward David Sudbrink, who will join the team this week in Las Vegas for the Mustangs' showcase series against WSHL foes Edson Aeros, Hinton Timberwolves, and El Paso Rhinos.
Sudbrink began this season with the Corpus Christi IceRays of the NAHL. Last season, Sudbrink played with the Chippewa Steel and Topeka Pilots. Prior to making his NAHL debut, he played for Meijer AAA Hockey 18U and the TPH Thunder program, where Ogden alumni Ian Currie had also played before joining the Mustangs.
While in the NAHL, Sudbrink saw his game shift and change due to the formation of teams he played on. One thing that would remain a constant was his work ethic.
"My roles with my last team were lower than I would like. I am looking to elevate my game, earn a more significant role, and bring more to the team with the Mustangs. I would like for my hard work ethic to be the thing that will be noticed the most in my game."
The power forward checks in at 6-feet-3-inches and 205 pounds and hailing from Nolensville, TN, Sudbrink brings even more size to this Mustangs lineup that features several larger skates than usual for this talented program.
When asked about his thoughts on joining the program, he could not retain his excitement. "I hear Ogden is a beautiful place and I know that always have a pretty dominant team. I am excited about joining the Mustangs. I hope to help the organization continue the excellent record they currently have."
You can watch Sudbrink and the rest of the Mustangs this week on the road via Black Dog Hockey. The games are available to watch live or on demand.
The Mustangs will now prepare to travel to Las Vegas for matchups that will attract everyone from around the WSHL. All games during the Las Vegas Shootout will be played at Las Vegas Ice Center.
