Dear Families, Friends and Fans,
We are thrilled to announce that today we have transferred ownership of the Ogden Mustangs. Sean and Kimberly Wilmert, longtime supporters of the Mustangs organization and residents of the Ogden community will be taking the reins for the 2020-21 season and beyond. Sean has an extensive background in the game having played and scouted at some of the highest levels. With the partnership and support of his wife Kimberly, we couldn’t be any more confident in our decision. Ogden will always be my 2nd family, my 2nd home, and the small town that gave my family and me so much to love and be proud of.

On a day-to-day, it’s business as usual. Only now we have new resources and capabilities to continue to deliver value for you...the fans, the players, and the entire Ogden community.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME?
As you all know, for the past 9 seasons...Ogden has become my home away from home. I/We will continue our support of the program as a resource and reference for Sean, Kim and their entire staff. We have made a commitment to aid and assist to the best of our abilities to ensure the best product and experience for everyone involved through the transitional period.
OUR STORY CONTINUES…
Twelve years ago, I bought a hockey team. Little did I know that this hockey team would become so near and dear to me and my entire family. The move to Ogden in 2011 proved to be one of the greatest decisions my family and I have ever made. When we moved the team, all we really knew was it was a great facility with an opportunity to grow and further the mission. Ogden has proven to far exceed our expectations. From a community filled with kind and welcoming people, billets that have hosted players each season adding them as members of their families, establishments that have sponsored and supported us in many ways, being surrounded with beautiful mountain views, unparalleled fans that have all become #stangsfam and so much more. We have worked incredibly hard to be a program that represented your community well, with respect and character, while bringing edge of your seat competitive entertainment to you and all alike. That effort will not be in vein. We couldn’t be any more confident and proud to be passing the torch to the Wilmert family, who we know will love and cherish it as I have. Although my time in Ogden has come to an end, it does not mean I am done in hockey. Please stay tuned for future announcements...
